Email address and confirmation status. The password is stored solely as a hash and is not readable by Seconds. Five details are required before first use; the questionnaire cannot be skipped.

Sämtliche Eingaben in die Felder der Schritte — Firmenbeschreibung, Antworten, Annahmenregister, Musterkuration, Rückmeldungen und Chatverläufe. Diese können Geschäftsmodelle, Zahlen und Namen aus laufenden Projekten enthalten.
An mehreren Stellen der Anwendung können Unterlagen hochgeladen werden. Die Dateien verlassen den Browser nicht und werden nicht gespeichert; übertragen wird nur der darin enthaltene Text, bei Seiten ohne auslesbaren Text ein verkleinertes Seitenbild. Jeder Vorgang ist mengenmässig begrenzt und wird vorher bestätigt.
All entries in the fields of the steps — company description, answers, assumption register, pattern curation, feedback and chat histories. These may contain business models, figures and names from ongoing projects.
Documents can be uploaded at several points in the application. The files do not leave the browser and are not stored; only the text they contain is transmitted, or a reduced page image for pages without readable text. Every such operation is limited in volume and confirmed beforehand.
Zur Begrenzung von Missbrauch und Kosten werden je Konto und Zeitfenster die Anzahl der Anfragen und die aufgelaufenen Modellkosten gespeichert. Diese Werte enthalten keine Inhalte. Fehlversuche bei der Anmeldung werden je IP-Adresse gezählt; die eingegebenen Zugangsdaten werden dabei weder gespeichert noch protokolliert.
To limit abuse and cost, the number of requests and the accumulated model costs are stored per account and time window. These values contain no content. Failed sign-in attempts are counted per IP address; the credentials entered are neither stored nor logged.
Der Eigentümer eines Projekts kann es für weitere Konten freigeben. Die Mitglieder eines so geteilten Projekts können dessen Inhalte lesen und, je nach eingeräumter Rolle, bearbeiten. Die Freigabe erfolgt ausschliesslich auf Weisung des Eigentümers; eingerichtet wird sie von der Administration von Seconds. Der Eigentümer kann sie jederzeit selbst widerrufen. Er kann das Projekt einem Mitglied übergeben; dieses wird damit Eigentümer.
The owner of a project can share it with further accounts. The members of a project shared in this way can read its content and, depending on the role granted, edit it. Sharing is done exclusively on the owner's instruction and is set up by Seconds' administration. The owner can revoke it themselves at any time. They can transfer the project to a member, who then becomes its owner.
Die beiden Schnellchecks sind ohne Konto zugänglich. Verarbeitet werden die Adresse der angegebenen Website, eine Zeile zum eigenen Verantwortungsbereich, die angeklickten Antworten samt freiwilligen Freitextangaben sowie die E-Mail-Adresse, an die das Ergebnis geschickt wird; freiwillig zusätzlich Name und Unternehmen. Gespeichert werden ferner der aus der Website gelesene Kontext und die fertige Analyse. Diese Angaben werden verschlüsselt abgelegt.
Both quick checks are accessible without an account. We process the address of the website you enter, one line about your own area of responsibility, the answers you click including any optional free-text entries, and the email address the result is sent to; optionally also your name and company. We further store the context read from the website and the finished analysis. These details are stored encrypted.
Getrennt davon wird ein Einwilligungsnachweis geführt: Adresse, Zeitpunkt der Zustimmung, Zeitpunkt der Bestätigung der Adresse, Fassung des Einwilligungstextes, Kennung der zugehörigen Analyse und ein allfälliger Widerruf — und sonst nichts. Ohne diesen Nachweis liesse sich eine erteilte Einwilligung nicht belegen (Art. 7 Abs. 1 DSGVO).
Separately, a record of consent is kept: address, time of consent, time the address was confirmed, the version of the consent wording, the identifier of the related analysis and any withdrawal — and nothing else. Without this record a consent given could not be evidenced (Art. 7(1) GDPR).
Um die Anwendung zu verbessern, wertet Seconds aus, wie sie genutzt wird — etwa welche Funktionen verwendet werden und wo Fehler auftreten. Inhalte werden dabei nicht erfasst. Die Nutzungsdaten werden pseudonymisiert gespeichert, bis das Konto gelöscht wird. Die Auswertung ist standardmässig eingeschaltet und lässt sich unter „Mein Konto“ mit dem Schalter „Nutzungsdaten teilen“ jederzeit ausschalten.
To improve the application, Seconds evaluates how it is used — for example which functions are used and where errors occur. No content is recorded. Usage data are stored in pseudonymised form until the account is deleted. The evaluation is switched on by default and can be switched off at any time under “My account” using the “Share usage data” switch.

Nach Schweizer Recht stützt sich die Bearbeitung auf den Vertrag beziehungsweise auf ein überwiegendes privates Interesse. Automatisierte Einzelentscheide mit Rechtsfolge oder erheblicher Beeinträchtigung finden nicht statt.
Under Swiss law the processing is based on the contract or on an overriding private interest. Automated individual decisions with legal effect or significant adverse impact do not take place.

Weitere Empfänger bestehen nicht. Eine Weitergabe zu Werbezwecken sowie ein Verkauf der Daten finden nicht statt.
Für die Bekanntgabe in die Vereinigten Staaten gilt je Empfänger: Netlify und Neon sind nach dem Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework zertifiziert; für Bekanntgaben aus der Schweiz besteht dadurch seit dem 15. September 2024 ein angemessenes Schutzniveau, und es bedarf keiner zusätzlichen Garantie. Für Anthropic stützt sich die Übermittlung auf die Standardvertragsklauseln der Europäischen Kommission (Durchführungsbeschluss (EU) 2021/914) als Garantie nach Art. 16 Abs. 2 lit. d DSG und Art. 46 DSGVO. Für Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) stützt sich die Übermittlung ebenfalls auf die Standardvertragsklauseln (EU) 2021/914, für Bekanntgaben aus der Schweiz in der an das DSG angepassten Fassung; zusätzlich ist Resend nach dem EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework zertifiziert, nicht aber nach dessen Schweizer Teil. Die Bekanntgabe an Usercentrics erfolgt nach Deutschland; für Staaten des Europäischen Wirtschaftsraums besteht nach Anhang 1 der Datenschutzverordnung ein angemessenes Schutzniveau.
There are no other recipients. The data is neither sold nor passed on for advertising purposes.
For disclosure to the United States the following applies per recipient: Netlify and Neon are certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; an adequate level of protection has therefore applied to disclosures from Switzerland since 15 September 2024, and no additional safeguard is required. For Anthropic the transfer is based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914) as a safeguard under Art. 16 para. 2 lit. d FADP and Art. 46 GDPR. For Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) the transfer is likewise based on the standard contractual clauses (EU) 2021/914, for disclosures from Switzerland in the version adapted to the FADP; in addition, Resend is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, but not under its Swiss part. Disclosure to Usercentrics is made to Germany; for states of the European Economic Area an adequate level of protection applies under Annex 1 of the Swiss Data Protection Ordinance.
Für die Daten der Anwendung besteht keine feste Aufbewahrungsfrist und keine automatische Löschung. Die Daten bleiben gespeichert, bis der Nutzer sein Konto löscht; die Funktion steht in der Anwendung unter „Mein Konto“ → „Konto löschen“ zur Verfügung. Gelöscht werden dabei das Konto mit E-Mail-Adresse und Fragebogen, der online gesicherte Zwischenstand und sämtliche gespeicherten Versionen. Nicht erfasst werden JSON-Dateien, die der Nutzer selbst gesichert oder weitergegeben hat.
Eine Ausnahme betrifft geteilte Projekte: Hat der Nutzer ein Projekt für andere Konten freigegeben, wird er beim Löschen gefragt, an welches Mitglied es übergehen soll. Das Projekt und seine Zwischenstände bleiben dann bestehen und gehören fortan dem benannten Konto; die Kontodaten des löschenden Nutzers — E-Mail-Adresse und Fragebogen — werden gleichwohl vollständig entfernt. Benennt er niemanden, wird auch das geteilte Projekt gelöscht.
Nach Ende des Vertrages darf das Konto samt Inhalten gelöscht werden; die Frist und die vorherige Aufforderung zum Export richten sich nach den Nutzungsbedingungen.
For the data of the application there is no fixed retention period and no automatic deletion. The data remains stored until the user deletes their account; the function is available in the application under “My account” → “Delete account”. This deletes the account with email address and questionnaire, the state saved online and all stored versions. It does not cover JSON files that the user has saved or passed on themselves.
One exception concerns shared projects: if the user has shared a project with other accounts, they are asked during deletion which member it should be transferred to. The project and its states then remain and belong to the named account from that point on; the account data of the deleting user — email address and questionnaire — are nonetheless removed in full. If no one is named, the shared project is deleted as well.
After the end of the contract the account may be deleted together with its content; the notice period and the prior request to export are governed by the terms of use.
Abweichend davon gilt für die Schnellchecks eine feste Frist: Die Ergebniszeile — Adresse, Antworten, gelesener Kontext und Analyse — wird drei Monate nach ihrer Entstehung automatisch gelöscht. Der Link aus dem Bestätigungsmail ist genauso lange gültig. Der Einwilligungsnachweis nach Ziffer 2.5 bleibt davon unberührt. Mit Einwilligung in die Ansprache wird er aufbewahrt, solange sie gilt; ein Widerruf wird darin vermerkt und nicht sofort gelöscht — nur so lässt sich zeigen, auf welcher Grundlage vorher geschrieben werden durfte —, und drei Jahre nach dem Widerruf wird der Nachweis gelöscht. Ohne Einwilligung in die Ansprache wird er drei Jahre nach der Bestätigung der Adresse gelöscht.
A fixed period applies to the quick checks by way of exception: the result record — address, answers, the context read and the analysis — is deleted automatically three months after it is created. The link from the confirmation email stays valid for the same period. The record of consent under section 2.5 is not affected. With consent to be contacted, it is kept for as long as that consent applies; a withdrawal is noted in it rather than deleted at once — that is the only way to show on what basis writing was permitted before — and the record is deleted three years after the withdrawal. Without consent to be contacted, it is deleted three years after the address was confirmed.
Es bestehen die Rechte auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung sowie auf Herausgabe oder Übertragung der Daten (Art. 25 ff. DSG). Nach der DSGVO treten das Recht auf Einschränkung der Bearbeitung und das Widerspruchsrecht gegen eine Bearbeitung aus berechtigtem Interesse hinzu; eine erteilte Einwilligung kann jederzeit widerrufen werden.
Auskunft, Übertragung und Berichtigung stehen in der Anwendung unter „Mein Konto“ zur Verfügung; die Projektinhalte lassen sich dort als JSON-Datei ausleiten, die Löschung erfolgt nach Abschnitt 7. Für alle weiteren Anliegen — etwa Widerspruch gegen eine Bearbeitung, Auskunft über Daten ausserhalb des eigenen Kontos oder Fragen zu dieser Erklärung — genügt eine E-Mail an georg.ropp@seconds-innovation.com.
Zuständige Aufsichtsbehörde ist der Eidgenössische Datenschutz- und Öffentlichkeitsbeauftragte (EDÖB), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern. Nutzer aus der EU oder dem EWR können sich an die Aufsichtsbehörde ihres Wohnsitzes, ihres Arbeitsplatzes oder des Orts des mutmasslichen Verstosses wenden.
Rights exist to information, rectification, erasure and to the handing over or transfer of data (Art. 25 et seq. FADP). Under the GDPR the right to restriction of processing and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest apply in addition; any consent given may be withdrawn at any time.
Information, transfer and rectification are available in the application under “My account”; the project content can be exported there as a JSON file, and erasure follows section 7. For any other request — such as objecting to processing, information about data held outside your own account, or questions about this policy — an email to georg.ropp@seconds-innovation.com is sufficient.
The competent supervisory authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern. Users in the EU or EEA may contact the supervisory authority of their residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
